Lani:
Hello. In this video, I’m going to talk about how to tap into the energy of where you are geographically in the world. Specifically, we’ve just gone from Portugal to London, so the energy is totally different. And I’m going to get into why it’s so important, and why you can thrive no matter where you freaking are, Sis, because your energy lies within. But before we get started, don’t forget to subscribe. Hit the bell icon so you’re notified every week when I release epic videos that truly helped me change my life and the lives of thousands of women that I get to coach. A freaking honor, to do that.

Lani:
And hit the like button, that helps so much. It’s an algorithm, and it really, really helps more than I can even imagine, because we want to change the world, Sis, and we do that by helping women and teaching women and inspiring women and showing women what’s possible. That you don’t have to freaking settle, that it’s not normal to be unfulfilled and eat dogshit, and you can totally have it all if you’re committed and put the reps in. So today, we’re talking about the different energies of where we are geographically. When I fly into LA, whew. I remember the first time I flew in to LA from Bali, I was like, “Oh my God.” I did not have the skills that I’m working with now.

Lani:
I didn’t have the mindset, but I knew that I felt something so heavy and so intense, and I didn’t like it. I literally got off the plane and was like, “I want to go back to Bali. This is so gnarly,” and I just copped it up to reverse culture shock or something. But the energy is obviously way more nervous and way more full-on. Flying into LA with strip clubs and just really gnarly, heavy energy… No nature right when you fly in, so that was really intense. So I grew up in Orange County, so I used to joke with Chris. I was like, “Dude, God made me without a button to turn on the heater, because I never needed it.”

Lani:
I grew up in Orange County, never got cold. I used to wear jackets just for looks. They weren’t to keep me warm or anything, and so that was that. And then, obviously lived in Bali for a lot, and Chris and I just follow the sun. So the first time I came to England, and we used to always stay in London, for Christmas was a few years ago, and I still hadn’t reprogrammed. I was like, “Oh, I’m a coach.” And the first year was so gnarly, because I didn’t have this exact recipe, and I hadn’t boiled it down to such simplicity where I know I know with conviction that I can teach you how to do it. The only reason that it wouldn’t work for you is if you didn’t show up. You’re like, “Na, na, na, na, na.” You just cover your eyes. “I don’t want to feel better. I want to be miserable, which is what I did.”

Lani:
So obviously, there’s not a magic pill. Obviously, I’m not going to come to your house and save you. Nobody can do it for you. It’s the gift of free will. It’s so beautiful that we have this free will as humans, but unfortunately we use it for evil most of the time, or to be a victim. And it’s like we push our own selves down. It’s so gnarly. So I was not this badass that you see sitting here. I hadn’t reprogrammed. I didn’t have a repeatable system. I was still in the testing phase, because I… I was just contemplating over this just literally five minutes before I am doing this video for you. And it was like, what were some of the external things that I was facing? Well, everybody that I looked up to and all the people that I followed were men.

Lani:
And so I was like, “Well, obviously I had this society idea that women aren’t as strong as men and aren’t as good enough, and aren’t as smart. And so therefore it’s harder, and we can’t do what they can do.” So I just was like, “Okay, so everybody that followed was a man,” and I felt like it was harder for women. And then the women that I did follow fit into the perfect spiritual box that were like… Never cussed and never talked about sex, and just totally fit into this perfect little spiritual box with glitter on their nipples and feathers, and I was like, “I can’t fucking relate to you. Okay, so you have no idea what I’m going through, because your ass didn’t have any of the crazy drug times or trauma or abuse, or crazy sibling shit, or embarrassing moments of kicked ex-boyfriends freaking car doors in, like a full Brittany moment.”

Lani:
Okay, so they weren’t talking about that. So I was in this really observational stage where I was like, “Okay, so what is working?” And that’s so beautiful. I wouldn’t take away that year of the entrepreneur’s hero’s journey where you have to go through with the fails and the rejections, and your muscle has to get stronger. I was not the woman three years ago that deserved to have the impact, have the clientele, have the responsibility that I have now. I wasn’t ready for it. I was going through my hero’s journey. So Chris brings me into London, and I mean, I was already psyching myself up. I was like, “Oh, it’s going to be so cold. Oh, I’m going to be so miserable.” And then I’d be like, “I just was born without that gene, because I never experienced the cold.”

Lani:
So I just like fully set myself up for the coldest miserable… Anytime that I said the word cold, it had a negative trigger and impact on my body. And there were so many beautiful things. Gosh, I just got goosebumps. Just being in London, London has such a freaking buzz. I am just vibing off of it so hard. I love it, it’s amazing. It’s Chris’s favorite. I’m getting teary-eyed about a place. It’s Chris’s favorite place in the world, so it’s like the human that I love, my soulmate, my king, it’s his favorite place in the world. And so that just lights me up today, and makes me feel so grateful. But three years ago, I wasn’t this amazing queen that had this ability to be like, “Oh my gosh, there’s so much buzz.” And of course the energy is different in different places. That’s what makes it so awesome.

Lani:
You’re not the same as me, and I’m not the same as you, meaning we don’t have the same favorite birthday cake flavor, or the same favorite song, or the same pair of favorite undies. We are our own people, and that’s so amazing. And that’s what makes the world so rad, is that everybody has their own drop-ins and their own intuition and their own childhood stories and their own mom and dad and experiences. It’s so amazing that what lights you up and makes you teary-eyed and gives you goosebumps is something different than me. But what we connect on is when we drop in even deeper to the soul feeling and we’re like, “Yes, I know that love. I know that buzz. I know that energy. I know that truth.” So I’m just going to… What I would like to know in the comments is first, where’s your favorite place in the world?

Lani:
Let me know your absolute favorite place that just lights you up and gives you the buzz and it’s just like, “Oh.” I would love to know that, so let me know in the comments what your favorite place is. And what we’re going to do today is decide that… First of all, I’m in London right now, so it would be so insane and so self-sabotaging and just so mean and selfish of me to be here and be like, “Oh my God, it’s so cold. Oh my God, it’s not Bali. Oh my God, I’m not in Portugal. This is so miserable. I fucking hate being here.” Okay, I’m here. Chris and I have created this life of freedom and this life of travel, and COVID hits. So now we’re in the same boat as everyone else. My American passport is not welcome everywhere, and I don’t want to go back to America right now, so. we’re in the same boat as everybody else.

Lani:
We’re not being able to do the thing where we can go anywhere all the time. And what I get to do this time is tap into the energy, and so it’s basically like what I teach about life. It’s like, dude, if not everything resonates, then take the things that really work for you. And don’t just take my word for it, go out and try it. Try my strategies, try what I’m saying. I’m not God. I’m not the end-all be-all. I’m just telling you the things that I know helped me, and 100% help me every day, because I am a different woman. I mean, just from let alone the three years ago when I was suicidal and at rock-fucking-bottom and wanting to die… From that to the first year Lani, the first entrepreneur year, I was just like, “What the fuck,” and then to where I am now.

Lani:
And watch, next year, it’s just going to be… It’s such a beautiful place of evolving. But what I teach is just, go ahead and try it yourself and see what really works for you. So this is what I do when we travel, and there’s such beautiful parts of every place. Bali is so epic and so amazing. You can’t get Amazon. There’s no post offices. You can’t just go into a grocery store like a CVS and just get… Can’t just go get shit to bleach my mustache, have to have people bring that over from America. There are just things that you have and you don’t have. I mean, what are we expecting, everything to be perfect? That’s so weird. That’s what makes it so great, like the motorbike life. It’s kind of like the Wild Wild West.

Lani:
And then it’s just a different energy. It’s just tropical. It’s just a different energy. I’ve got goosebumps. And then we come into London, and my mind is so blown because I grew up in Orange County and on the beach. So I remember actually that I had spent more time in Europe, in big cities in Europe, than in LA. There’s just no point. You can’t drink and drive, because I lived like 45 to an hour minutes away from it, and so I just went out in my little Orange County town. There were some good-ass clubs, so I didn’t need to do this whole thing where you have to know somebody to get in the door, and blah, blah, blah.

Lani:
So when I went to LA the first time, I was like, “Oh my God, this is like New York. This is like London.” And everyone’s like, “Yeah.” So it’s like I get to tap into that really exciting place where I didn’t grow up around skyscrapers, and every time, just the weather… When it rains, because it rains like every five minutes, I’m like, “Chris, it’s raining,” and I get so excited. I remember my little brother used to get so excited about airplanes, and he’d lose his mind every time an airplane would fly by. I get that excited about seeing the trains and the double-decker red buses. I’m like, “Oh my gosh,” and I just look out the window with this curiosity. So I’m here. That’s not changing.

Lani:
It’s crazy pants to fight that and be like, “Ugh,” and just… Dude, there’s so many beautiful things about London. Yes, I’m going to take what serves me. I’m going to take what resonates with me. I’m going to grab it. I’m a magnet for good. I’m a magnet for harmony. And the same thing with Portugal. There were some beautiful, beautiful things. I’m a magnet for that. I’m taking what serves me. I’m a magnet for harmony. I’m totally attracting the good. I got goosebumps. And so, I wasn’t always able to do that. And what that really is, it’s a reflection of me being able to choose what I focus on. So something as simple as being able to drop into London, it always trips out my brain. I’m just like, “Whoa.” I’m at a different place, a different time zone, different everything, different food, different… Our apartments look totally different.

Lani:
These grocery stores are totally different. Everything’s just totally different, so my brain is like, “Wah.” And instead of being so triggered by, “Everything is different,” I just act like a kid where I get so excited and so curious. Because I know that what I focus on, I see and I find, and if I want to find negativity and reasons to be unhappy, I will make shit up to match that, and I can choose that. So it’s something just as simple as… It really is true, though. I would like you to tap in and maybe compare two cities, two different countries and two different cities, and in the comments, tell me the different energy that you can feel, like the vibe that’s different. Let’s not be all victim, and like, “This city is ruining my life,” because we have feet.

Lani:
We can get up and move. So there’s that, and we can always be curious and excited and focus on the positive. We can always find nature around us. We can get in the car, get in public transport, and find somewhere to go and be around this beautiful nature. So, I’d like to know. I’d like you to just drop in. And it’s like… Yeah, there are different energies in different cities, but what my jam is, and what my vibe is, and the way that I roll is, if I’m there, I can always find something that serves harmony and the greater good. And so my new mantra as I’ve arrived in London… I’ve had several. So I did use the mantra the last time we… I imagine it was when we got to New Zealand for Christmas, and Sydney was pretty cold too.

Lani:
So I was like, “My muscles keep me warm. My muscles keep me warm,” and that made me giggle. And it totally worked, and so now this time as I’ve dropped into London, as we’ve landed here, I’m like, “I thrive in London.” I’m just channeling Alicia Keys, “In New York,” and just all up in the city vibes, and just channeling it and knowing that I choose. I put these roots in, and I can choose love and positivity and vibing off the energy that serves me, or I can choose the opposite. And I’ve been there before, and so not only does that make me feel really miserable when I’m complaining about the cold and… It doesn’t bring harmony to Chris. It makes him feel really overwhelmed, and then guilty and bad. And it’s his favorite city in the world.

Lani:
Fuck yeah, I want to celebrate that with my king. It’s so beautiful, and it’s so rad. And there is so much beauty, so we are going to. Because some of y’all might be going into winter. Some of y’all might be going into summer. Whatever. I’ve heard, “It gets too hot. Oh, it’s so hot.” There’s always something to complain about. So we are going to ground and make these beautiful roots in positivity, and we’re going to take what serves us and we’re going to focus on that, because there’s great energetic pieces in every single place that we go to. And we absolutely can. And it’s not the place, because when I was in my head, I was absolutely miserable in Bali, but now it makes me so happy. I could be miserable or happy in LA. I could be miserable or happy in London. It’s not actually the place. Yes, it’s true. We’re not dum-dums. We’re going to acknowledge that different places have different energy, for sure.

Lani:
But it’s us. We are the secret sauce. What we focus on, our energy, our vibe, that’s what makes the experience harmonious. And then that shit is what changes the freaking world. So girlfriend, if you are ready to totally tap into this harmonious energy and put your roots in and be able to create your experience… It’s not, “Oh my God, I’m trapped, and I’m a prisoner to the external.” You create your experience, and you have to come to my free online workshop.
